What we cover

Skills your child will grow into.

Every session builds on the last — moving from what feels shaky to what feels solid, one small win at a time.

  • 01Phonemic awareness — hearing and working with sounds in words
  • 02Systematic phonics — decoding, blending, and spelling patterns
  • 03Fluency — reading with accuracy, pace, and expression
  • 04Vocabulary — meaningful words in real contexts
  • 05Comprehension — asking questions, retelling, and thinking deeply
  • 06Writing that supports reading (and vice versa)
Who it's for

A good fit if this sounds familiar.

  • Your child guesses at words or avoids reading aloud
  • Reading feels slow, effortful, or exhausting by the end of a page
  • A screening or evaluation suggested dyslexia or a reading difference
  • You want to protect and grow the love of stories before it fades
What a session looks like
1

Fluency warm-up

A short, confidence-boosting read to loosen up.

2

Phonics teach

A focused mini-lesson on the day's sound or pattern.

3

Applied reading

Reading a decodable passage that uses today's skill.

4

Comprehension

Talking about the story — meaning, questions, and connections.

Parents often ask

Questions, gently answered.

Do you use a specific reading program?+

We draw on evidence-based structured literacy — Orton-Gillingham influenced — and tailor the sequence to each child's assessment, rather than following one boxed program rigidly.

My child was told they might have dyslexia. Can you help?+

Yes. Our lead tutor is a trained dyslexia interventionist. We can support your child alongside a formal evaluation or diagnosis.

How is this different from what school offers?+

Classroom teachers do wonderful work but rarely have time for one-to-one, sequential, multi-sensory phonics. That's exactly what we provide.

How long is a typical intervention?+

Most reading learners work with us for 6–12 months. We reassess every 4 weeks and adjust the plan as skills grow.

Will my child still enjoy reading after all this practice?+

That's the whole point. Every session ends with something the child chooses to read, and progress itself is the biggest confidence-builder.
